The Green of Gill's Eyes.Brittany Ross  Writing for the Arts  Gill’s Journey  Dec. 2, 2008   
Gill looked out her window staring at a gloomy sky.  “What to do today,” she said under her breath.  She scanned the bare and boring outdoors.  Everyday was the same; gloomy skies with no sun, trees with no leaves, land with no grass.  And everyday Gill hoped for just one day of sunshine.  Gill searched the horizon when her big, green eyes stopped.  Something caught her eye.  Something that was unfamiliar.  Her face looked puzzled as she stared at the darkn The Green of Gill's Eyes.

Forest.Brittany Ross  Writing for the Arts  Sensory  09-23-08   
I can’t see where I’m going.  My vision is so blurred from tears that my feet aren’t even visible.  Running through tall grasses that itch my legs and branches that hit my face, I search blindly for my way out.  Suddenly I feel my toes catch on something that pulls me down, and I fall with my face in the dirt.  I stay on the ground trying to figure out where I am.  I wipe tears away and close my eyes… I wipe my face and see dirty blood on my hands.  The branches must have scratched Forest.

Fear in Ages.Brittany Ross  Midterm Revision  Writing for the Arts  Oct. 19, 2008   
 Heart rate and blood pressure.  Screaming.  Crying.  Pain and disease.  Sirens.  Rushing.  Needles and blood.  My mind collects these images in a mental folder with a title labeled “Hospital”.  I can’t get past the word.  The thought of it makes my feet go numb and my head roll with the intent to lose consciousness.  Funny how one word could make a person cringe and feel such fear.   First left, then right.   Fear in Ages.

this semester at mcad i've been doing all darkroom work in photo class. so i haven't had time really to do any photos in my free time. but i do have a ton of black and white prints that i will be scanning within the next week and putting on here! only one week left of school. couldn't come sooner.
